Anti-Money Laundering/ Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT).

Successfully completed 3 Days training program on Anti-Money Laundering/ Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT). The training was facilitated by Mr. Hari Kumar Nepal, who currently is Deputy Director at Nepal Rastra Bank.

AML/CFT has been growing as a serious concern of the world almost as a coercive instrument to combat financial crimes, maintain financial transparency and stability, and finally lead towards good governance. Regulatory agencies are diverting their concentration over the regime with substantial attention. Financial and non-financial institutions have been boarded with heavy and wider responsibilities on AML/CFT with the expectation that such boarding help the governance directly.

This global move has given a historic glory to the financial and other related industries in one hand but at the same time since non-compliance may invite unexpected severe financial and reputational damage, most probably never seen in the history of prudential sector regulation, has made them to be ever cautious in each and every activity they perform. National and international expectations, growing supervisory enforcement actions and pecuniary penalties have continued to pressurize industries to minimize such risks inherent with them. Hence, considering the situation, the course presented with it was designed to help industries to develop such knowledge, skill and techniques that can lead them to tackle this regime systematically, effectively and efficiently, from policy level to operations.

Thus, the training was focused for mixed group of participants, Cash Tellers, Chief Tellers/ Cashiers, Branch Managers, Compliance Officers, Brokers, Remittance/ Fund Transfer Officials, Banking Officers, Customer Service Officials, Account Opening Officials and Auditors. from various financial institutions.
